Basic Concepts Terms:

  • Population
  • Sample
  • Element
  • Observation

Types of Statistics: Descriptive and Inferential

Random Sampling – draw sample from population; chance of drawing sample has equal chance

Characteristics: Variable and Constant

Measurment: Assign number to characteristics of people etc.
