Quantum Cryptography

Quantum Cryptography:

  • encrypt, send and decrypt data on the basis of Quantum Mechanics
  • KEY claimed advantage: Can detect eavesdroppers
  • Quantum key distribution – a type of quantum cryptography

How quantum cryptography works?

  • data security is based on superposition and entanglement
  • No-cloning rule: one can’t measure qubits without destroying their super position. Thus, anybody trying to intercept the the information will destory the information rather than deciphering the message.
